The sketches of the grape harvest: the pre-pruning

As in Art, the pre-pruning is the preparation, the draft on which the subsequent pruning will take place, the final work which will enable the selection of the best leaf buds.

During this process, the plants’ asleep energy adopts the treatment for the monastic-style pruning to be easier and to start the great transformation prodigy, by which a brown and desolate landscape turns into a shining green view in the following May.

The terraces built in the manor enable a quick action process to take place, and in a few days the vineyards recover their deserved calm. They embrace moisture or December’s tepid sun and lull as if their outward appearance was to be perennial.
